The Public Service Commission is in the process of expanding the PSIP program to include the private sector. This was said by the Chairman of the Commission, Amb. Anthony Muchiri, on December 13, 2022, at the start of the second session of the second phase of training for PSIP mentors and coaches at a hotel in Machakos.
“One of the objectives of mainstream public service is to accelerate economic growth and create a conducive environment for the private sector to thrive.” Subsequently, this will create employment opportunities within the private sector,” he disclosed.
The training session is intended to ensure 100 mentors and coaches drawn from MDAs, are equipped with the requisite skills to mentor and coach the interns deployed in their stations.
The Service Internship Program (PSIP) offers opportunities to graduates to acquire and develop valuable technical and professional skills as well as work experience in Public Service.
