Kenyans Suffering From Drought Get KSh 104 Million in Donations From Manufacturers.

Manufacturers contributed KSh 104,087,361 on Friday, October 28, 2022, to help Kenyans who were impacted by the prolonged drought in the nation.
His Excellency Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua stated during the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Humanitarian Initiative fundraising event that the drought situation in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands is getting worse (ASALs).
the Deputy President urged all parties to work together: “One of the means of overcoming the food problem is upgrading our agriculture sector. As a result, we must boost the value addition of agricultural products in the nation and intensify our focus on longer-term, more sustainable projects. As a government, we promise to deliver services with efficiency to support the regional industrial industry.
We cannot have a successful economy if one segment of the community is excluded, according to KAM Chairman Rajan Shah.
As part of its ongoing contributions to society, EABL supported the initiative to the tune of KSh30 million.
EABL in partnership with Sighsavers, an international NGO delivering programs on promoting the rights of PWDs, has rolled out a program aiming to ensure sustainability by absorbing the PLWDs into the core business opportunities in the value chain rather than implementing ad-hoc corporate social responsibility interventions.
The wiling farmers are called to join the initiative by contacting them on their telephone number 0722207129.
